• Cockburn’s has always questioned the so-called ‘rules’ for making port. Back in 1815, Robert and John Cockburn, two brothers from Scotland, bypassed the stuffy merchant’s fair in Porto and bought the very best grapes directly from farmers upriver in the Douro.

  • For over two centuries, the name of DOW has been associated with the finest Port from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley. Dow’s Ports are made from a blend of grapes, including Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Touriga Franca. The wines are aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 2 years, and they can be aged for many years longer.
